Empowered by their undocumented sons and daughters, several undocumented moms descended to Washington, D.C., this week to advocate for an immigration reform plan that would provide a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States.

These moms are part of a growing movement of parents who are joining Dreamers in the fight for comprehensive immigration reform. In just one year, they have formed organizations in at least nine states. Their efforts are getting stronger now that the Senate has approved an immigration reform bill and the House is taking up the issue.
