BROWNSVILLE – The Ozanam Center in Brownsville is filled to capacity, and the shelter’s management said Washington politics are to blame.

Ozanam Center Director Victor Maldonado said the number of people at the shelter went from 40 to 85 in less than a week.

All of the people at the center are from Mexico and Central America.

One Honduran citizen arrived at the center last week. Federal officials told him he was being released because of budget cutbacks in Washington.

Yeah, sounds like a plan.

Nappy told us that due to budget cuts ICE is only locking up the worst of the criminal element. Uh huh. So they release this guy, then they say that if he doesn’t show up for his immigration hearing they’re going spend more money to re-arrest him. Of course, being the ‘low priority criminal’ that he is—he’s got other plans, and attending his immigration hearing isn’t one of them. Surprise that.

Speaking of filthy invaders…

Just because they were turned over to Border Patrol does not mean they will be deported. In fact, there are many new (illegal) mandates under the Obama administration that guarantee that they won’t.
