The Pentagon on Wednesday identified a U.S. airman who is missing but presumed dead after his F-16 crashed near Baghdad on Monday. Maj. Troy L. Gilbert is listed as "duty status whereabouts unknown," but the military believes he was unable to eject and died in the crash.

It was several hours before U.S. forces could secure the crash site about 12 miles northwest of Baghdad. They found the wreckage of the plane, an intact canopy and a tangled parachute harness. There was no sign of Gilbert.

Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to the United States Congress, has announced that he will not take his oath of office on the Bible, but on the Quran instead.

The 43-year-old Minnesota Democrat, who converted to Islam as a 19-year-old college student, won the midterm election after a campaign calling for an immediate American pullout from Iraq. And his decision to forsake the Bible at his January 3 swearing-in troubles some.

"He should not be allowed to do so,” Townhall.com contributing columnist Dennis Prager writes on the Web site.

"Ellison’s defenders argue that Ellison is merely being honest; since he believes in the Quran and not in the Bible, he should be allowed, even encouraged, to put his hand on the book he believes in . . .

"Forgive me, but America should not give a hoot what Keith Ellison’s favorite book is. Insofar as a member of Congress taking an oath to serve America and uphold its values is concerned, America is interested in only one book, the Bible. If you are incapable of taking an oath on that book, don’t serve in Congress.

"In your personal life, we will fight for your right to prefer any other book. We will even fight for your right to publish cartoons mocking our Bible. But, Mr. Ellison, America, not you, decides on what book its public servants take their oath.”

Prager, a radio talk show host and author, concludes: "When all elected officials take their oaths of office with their hands on the very same book, they all affirm that some unifying value system underlies American civilization. If Keith Ellison is allowed to change that, he will be doing more damage to the unity of America and to the value system that has formed this country than the terrorists of 9/11.

"It is hard to believe that this is the legacy most Muslim Americans want to bequeath to America.”

She’s at it again. After several paragraphs of accusing U.S. soldiers of wanton criminal acts all over the world, she’s asking for donations for Korean “freedom fighters”. This means, she wants you to donate money to a group of people willing to fight/kill the “Imperial Storm Troopers” (U.S. soldiers).  Sheehan did manage to mention her deceased soldier son Casey, albeit briefly. Sheehan only mentions Casey under the guise of appearing she actually cared about him and invoke the loving mother image. Sheehan claims to have cared about her son(though her actions show us otherwise) and in the same breath accuses her son of systematic rape, torture, and murder of Iraqis. Those who are familiar with Sheehan are aware that she abhorred her son for enlisting not once but twice in the U. S. military. Casey Sheehan stood for everything his mother despises; America.

Coroner’s office says 31/2-week-old girl died of burns from microwave

DAYTON — A 26-year-old mother was arrested Monday by Dayton police in the homicide of her 3½-week-old daughter, Paris Talley, on Aug. 30, 2005, a death officials said they believe was caused when the child was burned in a microwave oven.

China Arnold was picked up at her house, 3612 E. Second St., about 2:30 p.m. on a warrant for a charge of aggravated murder, Sgt. Gary White said. Arnold was taken to the Montgomery County Jail. The warrant was issued last week.

Ken Betz, director of the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, said, "We have reason to believe and scientific evidence to support that a microwave oven might have been involved in the death of this child." The cause of death was ruled a homicide at the time, by hyperthermia due to thermal injury.

The baby’s death was only the second on record in the nation believed caused by microwave oven. A 20-year-old Virginia mother was convicted of involuntary manslaughter on Sept. 26, 2000, in the death of her 5-week-old son.

"That’s what made this case so difficult," Betz said. "We’re in an area where there’s not a lot of scientific research on the effect of microwave on human beings."

Additional evidence recently came to light that helped prosecutors approve the arrest warrant, he said. "There were no external signs, like scalding water."

White said the mother had custody at the time of Paris’ death. When Arnold brought her to Children’s Medical Center on Aug. 30, 2005, "the baby was dead. The investigation commenced at that point," he said.

"The police department is satisfied we’ve helped bring some justice so far to Paris’ homicide," White said.

What we know about the mother and father of the infant Paris Talley:

 The mother has three other children by different men

The mother has a criminal history

The mother and father had been out drinking prior to the father finding the child dead

The mother claims she doesn’t remember anything after she returned home from drinking

The mother didn’t bother to check on her 28 days old baby when she returned home from drinking, though she claims she doesn’t remember anything when she did return home

The father has a criminal history

Possible scenarios:

The father who most likely has other children didn’t want to be strapped financially with another child; assuming the father actually did financially support the child/his children. Highly doubtful the criminal father did much besides produce unwanted children and commit crimes.

The mother having three children already didn’t want to be strapped with another child.

 Regardless of why, whoever did this diabolical act must be removed from society forever.
